The English Studies Unit

The English Studies Unit at Braude provides language teaching and learning services to all undergraduate students at the college. To meet students’ needs and enable them to read academic texts in their fields of study, reading courses in Technical English have been developed for each of the college’s five departments.

An Applied Technical English course is offered in two of the departments. This is a course which focuses on the professional application of the students’ English language skills focusing mainly on oral discussions and the delivery of oral presentations related to the students’ specific field of study.

In addition, an elective English course to improve writing skills is offered for students who have completed the technical English courses successfully.
