Is this a place for me to learn English?

This is a place to practice and improve your English. This is not an English course.

How do I register to be a part of a Conversation Group?

Why do I need to test my level of English?

To better place you in a group with those of a similar level.

When will these take place?

Each conversation group will meet once a week for 45 minutes for a minimum of 6 weeks.In Semester B 2018 a new group will open 15.8.18 at 16.00. (on your own time)

A minimum of 4 participants are needed to keep the group open. 

Where will they take place?

In the Language & Writing Support Center, EF507.

What does being part of a Conversation Group mean?

Being part of a Conversation Group means you have a chance to practice your English for 45 minutes on a variety of relevant topics with your peers, in a safe and supportive environment free of judgement.

Do I have to sign up?

No, this is strictly voluntary.

When does the LWSC open?

At the start of the new semester.

Writing Assistance

What sort of writing assistance is available to me?

E-mails to international students and international institutions, etc.

Would you be willing to proofread a document for me?

Sure, if you make an appointment ( we can review the document together, but nothing over two pages. Anything over that and you need to seek external editing services.

Are there resources to help me with my writing skills?
